Default Fog Light Help!!

i have the TRD fog lights installed by the dealer when i bought the car. but you can only turn them on when you have the main headlights on. i was wondering if there was as way to have them come on when you just have the parking lights on? if so can you explain how?
thanks

Oh yeah. You can do it. It's super sketchy and there involves a lot of splicing and soldering. I my opinion, the only way to rock fog lights is with everything else turn off, so I think it's worth it. But its only worth it if you do it right. Search for how to solder the fog lights up so you can have them independent of everything else. Oh and by the way, your fogs also turn off when you have the brights on. Just an FYI.

Simple, cheapest, and fastest ghetto way to do it:

Cut the + and - wires on your fog lights leading away from the fogs. This disconnects them completely from headlight junction block and fuses.

Tap / splice the + wire of the foglights to a + wire on the parking lights.

Ground the - wires of the foglights accordingly.

In-line fuse is recommended with 30amp fuse.

It wasn't sketchy at all on the 1G. All you had to do was connect the relay power wire to the parking light wire under the dash.

Not if you truly wire them to be independent, they'll be on no matter what until you turn them off.

Just to clarify, there are TWO mods that are separate:

1) Allows the fog lights to come on without the low beams on. Just put on your parking lights, and then you can switch on your fogs as well.

2) Allows the fog lights to stay on even when your highs are on. Normally, when you flick your highs on, the fogs turn off, and immediately turn back on again when you turn your high beams back off. With this 2nd mod, the fogs stay on until you turn them off.

Just a quick question, does the dealer sell projector fog lights?
