Front turn signal led

Default Front turn signal led

I have a 2014 Scion Tc. The front turn signal is 1156. I swapped my front turn signals to leds and they will not blink. Anyone have any ideas? Do I need a load resistor?

Make sure you are using the correct bulb with the correct base.

USA or Canada> In the US you have to add a load resistor to each side, or change the flasher relay. In Canada you can only add resistors as the Relay is different than the US one.

I changed the flasher relay and they still wont blink.

Best thing would be to compare both bulbs side to side and make sure the base is identical.
Another thing could be that the bottom base of the bulbs is not making full contact with the contact points in the socket.

What was the part number if the relay you used. Not all are made to work with led bulbs. The ones that work best have a fixed flash interval reguardless of load. I gave up on mine for now because of the amound of work I'd have to do to make it work the way I want it to. But mine is Canadian with a stupid complicated relay.

All my turn signals are not working even the hazards. I checked the fuses and they are good.

Try using that relay with the stock bulbs and see if that works, just to rule out the relay as the issue.

Even with the stock bulbs don't work. I even tried with the factory relay. This is odd.

I even have hids and noticed that left side will not turn on at times. I have a relay harness for the hids.

Might want someone to look at this, hard to diagnose everything on here. Even more so if the stock bulbs and relay no longer work, I'd have another look at the fuses though.

I checked the fuses. What could be the problem. I have led running rights.

I still can't get the leds to work? How can I switch the polarity on the bulb socket?

The only way to switch polarity on an 1156 socket is to cut the wires and reconnect the opposite way. DON'T DO IT! Put everything back to factory condition, and have your car checked out by a pro.
Load resistor will not fix your problem, they only correct the blinker speed.

I even tried a 1157 bulb and nothing. I have a flasher rely for the led. I have leds in the rear and they work just fine.

Your 2014 may not be compatible what the 2011-2013 flasher. Compare the pins on both units. There may be a difference. BTW are you in Canada? DRL's operate differently then US models. Best advice I can give is to have the system checked.
