I just use a t-tap and tapped into the red wire on that harness. That's you ignition wire on your stereo so you will have your amp turn off with the ignition. If your amp isn't turning in check your connections and make sure your splicing into the far right side (your right as you face the stereo) connector.

yea well ___ you can see from the wires you can see that i already tried with the red and yellow wire but the amp doesnt turn on at all with the yellow it should turn on cuz thats a constant 12v right? and well i tried the red too but no luck. could it be that they are not connecting right? and i know everything is connected right because when i plugged in my aftermarket pioneer the sub turned on!

Oh make sure your sub woofer controls are turned on. Your stock stereo has a control for that. I believe that's the only way it will send signal down the RCAs. You said you hooked up an after market pioneer stereo and everything worked so this may be your problem. Yes the yellow is 12v constant but I wouldn't leave it hooked to that your amp will drain your battery.

When radio unit is off, hold down the enter button down till the option screen turns on. Then go to SB woofer setting, then turn on.

Do you have an indicator light on your amp? Are you getting sound from your subs at all?

Ok so I works when an aftermarket stereo is hooked up which means its something to do with your stock one. And you made sure your sub woofer settings are turned on? That's the first step the second step would be to see where your base levels and sub woofer levels are set in your settings.

Ok. Make sure in your audio settings your subwoofer level isn't turned to like -10 or something low like that.

Hmmm... Well that perplexing then. You have everything hooked up the same way you did on your aftermarket one? If it works one way but not the other then that means something is happening with your stock unit.

What head unit do you have? Is it the basic pioneer or any of the upgraded ones? This may help.

You shouldn't need a converter, the blue amp wire should be hooked into the red 12v ignition wire.

Another thing you can try is to hook your remote wire in directly to you 12v line on the cigarette lighter port. That will give you the power you need and see if your amp turns on that way. Mine is in the 19pin I just double checked but either should work they are both 12v ignition... Honestly I would just tap into the cigarette lighter. Saves the hassle and it is perfectly acceptable your amp will still turn on and off with the car.
