Default How to get rid of waterspots?

I was wondering if anyone knew of anything that gets water spots off? Every since I got my car i've had water spots. They are mainly on the roof and rear windshield, but also are on different parts of the car... It really bothers me for some reason, it would be greatly appreciated if someone helped me out.

If you drive your car in the rain it is going to happen.

As for spots after washing:

Use microfiber cloths to dry your car or drive it around at high speeds until it is dry.

One is more fun the other is more effective.

yea, its worst when you have hard water, just gatta dry it before it dries if your washing it, and can't really avoid it if its just raining. just gatta wash your car again.

I've used a 6" orbital buffer to get them out of glass before, it's work if they have been there a long time but they can be removed. I believe rain X also makes a paste like glass scrubber that I would try with the buffer.

I keep a ton of rain x on the glass, it really beads up the water and lets it run off and helps prevent water spots. Typically every few time I wash the car I'll rain x the exterior glass let it haze up really good, then buff it off and wash the car AFTER to get the streaking off that rain x leaves behind.

meguiars just released a new detailer specific for water spots at SEMA last week.....for hard water spots (this will sound dumb) use vinegar. my parents have hard water and it showed BADLY on my dad's mustang. put some malt vinegar on a rag and wiped it all down and the hard water spots were gone. just have to wax it right after

I've also heard of using vinegar. I searched about it awhile back and I think I remember people saying to mix a little bit of water with it then give it a go.

i add a splash of viniger to my car wash soap and water when washing it helps the whole time.... also if you get one of those car wash sprayers that has a spot to put soap to help wash the car and put viniger with a splash of alcohol where the soap goes and on the last rinse use that it works wonders

Dude just hand dry it with a cheap cloth. Idk what kind it was but when i washed my car the other day and hand dried it after it looked cleaner then ever. The cloths i used were 50 cents a piece at the car wash and two got all of the remaining dirt and bugs, and dried the whole car to brand new finish.

Google griots garage and purchase both glass polishes. They are amazing products and I have had perfect results. Depending on how bad the hard water spots have gotten will determine how much time and effort will be needed. Natural light but not in direct sunlight is your best friend when removing the spots because you will be able to see everything so you don't miss any spots. These are crappy pics from my iPhone but you can see my results with this product with a very severe case of hard water problems.

Clay bar kit from any auto store. That's how detailers do it.

yea i use rain x for my glass, its nice, its like putting wax on your windows

also i use a water T blade. ppl say it scratches your car (because it will drag unwashed dirt across your paint) so you have to be careful when using it (same goes for clay bars)
