...this might actually be pretty cool....do red LED strips and wire to the BRAKE lights

i really dont want to remove my emblems, but i might consider this....

You can't have red in the front while driving... you'll get pulled over for sure... haha! Only white is plausible...

Add a switch like I have for my DRL's. I geuss they are not really DRL's since I can turn them off, but still. My switch is also illuminated

haha~ for me.. to add a switch means I have to drill... since my switch expansion slots are full (blulogic + fog)

man you have bumped a 2 year old thread. lol I did the rear emblem already. I made it so the SCION letters light up red when I hit the brakes but after a while one of the leds burned out. I am on the search for a better quality red LED that will give me a more clean look.

Got it...Remove emblem. Take lexan, make emblem sized template of lexan, drill 3 (or more),tiny holes, behind center left and right sides of emblem mount individual leds behind lexan in each hole wire through bumber or rear deck, remount emblem ontop of lexan. Lexan carries the light and voila! Been planning this for years. For a slightly different effect try media blasting rear side of lexan for a frosted look! hope someone tries it. I will when I get the time.
