Just an idea...
An idea came to mind that originally originated from project machine. It is just a test run and to see how long it lasts.
I think pictures are too small if you cant see them can someone help me improve on how to post pictures better?

Im not very good at this myself, but what I do is upload the pic to scionlife, then copy the BB code, and paste that in the thread, comes out full screen like that. These are way to small, but im interested!
Best way to post pictures to SL (and any forum really) is to get an imageshack or photobucket account, upload them there, then just post the IMG code in the text of your post and you get this:
Based on your comment and what I can barely make out from the photos, it looks like your Sharpied the black pillar covers with a silver marker rather than taking those black covers off. It sounds like an awesome idea for your cover, I'd just like to see the pictures at a size where I can make out what I'm looking at!
I was actually thinking that Ted has hookups with Scion that could potentially put a set of those covers in his hands, unapplied. A silver sharpie, and maybe some clear vinyl or other flexible, clear coating over the top would allow him to make them and ship them for us to apply ourselves... Hmmm. The growth of DT9... Haha. But back on topic... How would you clear over there without sanding or at least roughing up the covering? At least with hopes of it lasting.
pretty fly idea. i like it! i haven't graff'd in a long time...could be a good reason to start again
does anyone know...if there was a plastidip clear coat first (or i guess even a black plastidip would work too) and then sharpie it and then clear coat again to protect the sharpie...
would it be able to peal off to reveal the original black vinyl without problems?

i know there is....
im just saying...clear coat, then sharpie, then clear coat = removal will leave the stock vinyl as if it were untouched ? does that work?
that way u dont have to sharpie directly on the vinyl..but on the clear coat instead...and at the same time making it so that it can be easily reversed

Have you thought about doing the B-pillars too? Even the back piece of the front emblem, heat shield and fuse box cover? Just thinking the silver sharpie on your silver car is subtle enough to look stock at a distance and very unique up close, giving you a chance to have a very unique theme to your car without looking gaudy.
You can clear coat over the vinyl with out sanding it first, people clear coat sticker bombs all the time. As for me mass producing them, not a chance. All of DT9 Designs artwork is 100% one of a kind, I will never reproduce anything I have already done(had a long debate with a customer who wanted a duplicate of an artpiece I had already done, I refused and forced him to get different artwork done...).
