Me again with head light issues
Hey guys currently have the meng motorsports hid 35w 8k lights installed on my car and thinking about switching over to 55w 6ks. Now my problem right now is that when driving down a particular dark road i cant see ____ in front of me for more than maybe 10 ft. Is there any way i could see further down the road without turning high beams on?
^^^ What he said. The higher the Kelvin, the less usable light you will have to see with the road. However 55w will wash out some of the color, so just be aware that 6K 55w will probably look somewhere like 5K 35w.
I personally went with the morimoto kit, and its great, you could always try just keeping that ballast, since its pretty good quality and just order a set of new bulbs from TheRetrofitSource. Don't need to be throwing away a perfectly good ballast.
My cousin's TC2 has 35w 6K and it give off a really nice color band, I just need to figure out to get rid of his squirrel spotters.
If you do get a 55w kit, please get rid of the squirrel spotters. TC1 was really easy to fix it, by putting your finger in and bending the metal flap down a bit. But on the TC2 I fingered it all around but couldn't find it, so I gave up.
