Default Recieved damaged spoiiler from eBay

Hey guys I ordered a factory style spoiler from ebay for $135 shipped. It arrived today and I noticed it had a little chip/scratch (like it had been dropped). Has anyone else received a defective item from ebay? If so, what did you do? Im going to be sending it back, but I don't know if i'm going to ask for a refund, or an exchange.

Another thing, I set it on top of my car, where it would be, if installed and noticed on the left and right of the spoiler, there is a huge gap and it doesn't sit flush with the car. Almost like it was too wide. They didn't curve the sides in to fit flush with the car, and they kind of stick out. Is this how it's supposed to be? I highly doubt it, but let me know if I should return it or exchange it.

here's where I ordered it from:

eBay didn't do anything, the seller of the product is who you need to contact on eBay. I would have refused delivery of the item. Did it need a signature verification? Next time open the package in front of the delivery person and inspect it before signing.

I'm a long time eBay buyer/seller myself... Just glancing at the number of transactions that seller has made on eBay (over 17k) and still has a 99.5% positive rating, I'd say they've got a pretty good rep of being a good seller. Just give them a call or shoot them a professional and polite e-mail stating what had happened. See how they respond, and go from there. With that kind of rating, I seriously doubt they're just out to screw people.

just my 2 cents... hope that helps.

If you paid thru PayPal you can put in a dispute if they make an issue out if it.

It happened to me too, but I just contacted the seller and he was happy to send me another one, he even let me keep both because it was going to cost him too much for return shipping. So I ended up selling it and getting my spoiler almost for free :D

I've been looking at the spoilers on Ebay too and it looks like the ends are not flush in most of the pictures, yours just doesn't show it well because its at a bad angle. I would take a look at the other spoilers and see. Its a OEM knockoff so out might not be exactly the same

Well, I emailed him yesterday, and still no response. I just sent another email asking about an exchange. I'll let you guys know what happens.

Also, has anyone purchased a spoiler on eBay that fits 100% like the factory one from scion?
