Default Replacing trunk emblem with 5D?

Hey everyone,
I'm thinking about throwing a few fun mods onto the car, and one that I was considering was a 5D trunk emblem to liven it up a bit. Just wondering, has anyone put one of these in?

Just starting to get into cars, since I picked this one up, so I don't know very much. Thanks for the help!

That's what I was thinking too. There aren't a ton of tC's in my area to begin with, and I thought it could be a cool touch. Only problem is, I haven't found any installation vids or posts on it, and I really want to see how it looks on the car.

The 5D emblem would be much cheaper than the '14 OEM illuminated part:

If it fits... Keep us posted if you decide to do it.

Wouldn't be surprised if the wiring is there due to the 10 series ones.

I'd think with a dark car and the only time you notice the emblem is when the light kicked it would look nice. Maybe I'll order them too haha

This is a cool idea I would love to see how this turns out. You would think with Toyota's mass production there would be a harness their already.

I did get it, finally. Took about a month to ship from overseas. No explosions yet, just trying to find a wiring diagram and a free day off to get it done.

Ah fair nuff, have you tapped it on your battery or something just to see how bright it is? That is one of my concerns about it.

I haven't done anything with it as of yet. Trying to hunt down someone with a soddering iron/gun. I did find a video demoing the light though (not the Scion logo). Seems to be about as bright as the actual lights.

Also, if anyone has a link or picture of the actual wiring diagram for the back end, it would be much appreciated. Found a text one, but I'd prefer an actual diagram :/
