Default Scuffed my tc need advice!

Hi Guys,
So I'm pulling the tc into the garage and I got a little close to a pressure washer that was against the wall. The result was I got a 3 inch long by 1/4 inch wide scrape of scuff in the clear coat. The damage is located in front of the front tire on the TRD front facia.

The scrape is white in color so I hope that means it's only the clear coat. But it does feel rough so I not sure rubbing compound alone will take it out, It may need to be wet sanded and then buffed. Has anyone done this sort of repair before? I'm looking for different ideas on how to remove this scuff which will get rid of this upset stomach and sick feeling I currently have.

It's a 2012 tc Release 7.0 High voltage yellow. Thanks guys.

I’ve tried rubbing compound and I've tried wet sanding several places on the tC...then filling with touchup paint after going through that super thin finish coat of paint. It was a PITA and still didn't come out great. The paint is so thin and some cheap azz paint on our tC...probably ecologically friendly…you’ll probably have to reshoot it.

Take it to a pro if you dont feel you can remove it yourself. I would not worry about it, a good bodyshop/paint guy can fix almost anything.

I scuffed the lip on the RS also. I sanded it and some of the area around it down then resprayed it from a can with touch up paint and then clear coat. It looks pretty good. The only thing is that the new paint is higher then the old layer so one day I will need to wet sand it down to the proper height on the edges but for now no one can tell it was scraped. This was also to the black plastic, it went through the paint.

Thanks for the input. I have settled down now lol! and will try wet sanding with 2000 grit. I have some Automotive Touchup clear coat left over from another project on a different car. I'm hoping to smooth it out and then clear coat it. It's on the right side lower TRD facia (in front of right tire). There's a lot of bends in that area which will create some natural breaks so spraying should blend nicely.

Anybody think I should spray it with paint before the clear coat? I'd hate to just clear coat it and still see white through it. The more I think about it, the more I lean towards painting the area as well. Let me know what you guys thing!

Thanks!
