Default Spoiler for tC12

I was looking into buying myself an aftermarket factory-style spoiler.

I was browsing around and it seems like this is the best deal I can find.

Do you guys know if theres any better deals out there?

I was also on the trd sparks page and ran across something called modified spoiler struts. Will I need those to install the spoiler?

how does it mount? is it all just 3M tape or are there brackets underneath that screw in which means have to drill into the hatch?

idk either. usually lip wings are just 3M tape but this one mounts further up hatch as well so not sure if there's mounting screws underneath.

Killer deal. Painted? Even if asks for drilling it's not necessary, 3M will hold just fine. Lots of people just use 3M for lips, OEM or not, instead of the tabs/screws.

They use the same paint color code from OEM so it should be the same color.

I just messaged them and some buyers asking if it had an installation kit and how they installed theirs.

Hmm...should I look around for another spoiler? or go with no spoiler at all?
any suggestions?

just an FYI, I dont think those sit completely flush, I think I have seen that on the sides it sticks up a little bit. I dont mind, but some do and it doesn't look 100% factory. That being said, I will probably be buying one in the next couple weeks once my Bday cash rolls in

Heres what I mean:

I would also check what material it's made of, think it said decent material but I just browsed the listing. Even the OEM one isn't totally flush, it doesn't touch at the sides like disaster said.

i have that exact same color spoiler. it goes for around 135 everywhere i think...
it does stick up a little bit and the material is either plastic or fiberglass but im not entirely sure. also. in order to install it, you need to drill holes in the hatch.

Did you buy the exact same spoiler for 135 on ebay as well? Or do you just have a same color spoiler?

Alright, so I finally got around to buying mine and installed it today, Install was pretty straight forward. I highly recommend a step drill bit, so it comes out nice and clean. I got mine for cheap at the local hardware store (Harbor Freight).

Hope those help!

hey disaster, did you have to buy the upgraded spoiler strut to handle the extra weight added by the spoiler???
