Default TRDsparks fog lights...

Does anyone know what the difference between the two options are? They look identical...

I just don't understand the difference in price?

Quality wise, is the 016 part just as good, or should I just spend the extra 100?

It's wierd that it says both are Toyota. I would imagine the cheaper one is made by SpecD, the same set the fastscions.com sells. The SpecD is the set I have. It is very good quality wise, my only complaint is the on/off switch that goes in the dash, the backlight color is green. So it does not match the dark orange that the rest of the lights are. This is easy enough to change but it does not bother me enough to do so. You would just need a #3 orange LED, a sodering iron, and 10 minutes worth of time.

I dont mind the green on the foglight switch, it gives the interior some contrast. Is the factory foglight switch orange?

I had the same question when I purchased and they told me that they're the same thing. The 0016 part is from Toyota Southeast Distributors and the PT part is from Toyota National Distributors. ie, the 0016 is location specific which doesn't matter because all tC's in the US are made to the same specifications. Buy the cheaper one and you won't be disappointed.

So the only difference between the two is that the cheaper one comes with green led's instead of red? That's crazy.

Does anyone know what size led to purchase for the fog light switch? And what the correct color is?

Its a #3 I have been told. Am you would assume orange, but even red would be a much closer match than green!

I kind of like the green. It matches the eco light, headlights indicator, cruise control, and all of those lights. I kind of like the contrast

The more expensive set is OEM made by Toyota. The other is OEM style from a diff maker. There are subtle differences in the housing..the grill lines i guess. I forgot what exactly

As far hids. Same thing as the headlights, just make u get a harness this time around.

Ok so I have a question. I got the cheaper OEM kit from TRD sparks for christmas and the instructions dont say anything about taking the lenses off the light in order to attach the outer trim grills to the car does anyone know what has to be done? Im pretty sure they have to come off somehow to fit the whole thing togeather nicely so do they just pull off?
