Default 2011 Scion tC..No Heat..

Car only provides heat when revving extremely high also used to overheat. I replaced the thermostat and that fixed the overheating problem but still no heat. Bled the system using a burp funnel and topped off coolant.
No wetness on passenger side floor so i think the heater core is in tact but maybe clogged. Will update after a flush, are there any other components that could cause the lack of heat?
I had to do some research to find out this car doesn't have a heater control valve. Also I have 120 degree coolant on the heater core inlet and 80 degree coolant on the outlet.

Wondering if there is any kind of valve between the inlet and heater core or if it's just a straight pipe to the core?

Did you modify how the heater core is configured? Provided it is connected correctly, my money would be on a bubble in the system, fairly common issue to have the vehicle not provide heat after making any change to the cooling system, just need to burp it better lol. Bubbles are sometimes a total pain to get out. One way that's worked for me is to run the vehicle at full heat for a while and bounce the suspension around once it gets to operating temp if you do not have a way to force the coolant through.

thanks for the reply, I'm going to be flushing the core and burping the system tomorrow and will update if either of those fix the issue. I saw some videos online of people burping the system using the drain at the lower right of the radiator so i might give that a try

Default UPDATE: FIXED!

UPDATE: FIXED: So I didn't even do the flush on the heater core there was tons of air in the system and burping it fixed the heater. Sitting at a comfy 115 degrees coming from the vents.
I raised the front end, used a burp funnel and pumped for like an hour on the thickest radiator hose just beside the exhaust manifold cover and it pushed all the air out.

Hope this helps someone else out.
