Default 2014 Scion Tc2 monogram issues.

Hello all, new to the forum. I was over at Toyota Nation seeking some help or input. I will post what I have from that thread. Any input is appreciated.

So, yesterday I brought the car to the local dealer. I was was having an issue with the driver seat squeaking ( they are replacing the seat track)

Now on to the fun stuff.

The past couple times at the bank drive-thru I have noticed a rattling noise from the gearbox, once the clutch was depressed the noise would go away, release clutch...noise would return. Almost like a throw out bearing / input shaft bearing.

I submit the complaint of this issue, dealer calls and tells me that he is waiting to hear back from tech line.

Today I get a phone call from the dealer stating that Toyota has removed the warranty on my transmission ........What?

Apparently when I arbitrated the problems with the car, when Toyota said "nothing was wrong " they removed the warranty on the transmission, I said so... what is covered? The advisor told me the car still has its normal warranty MINUS the Transmission.

I... am just lost.

I asked the advisor " Off the record " Do you and the technician think that noise is an issue? He was a little hesitant, but did say yes.

Toyota is practically barring them from working on the car unless it is customer pay, unless I approve the Diag/ repairs.

- My car.

This has been a really fun 11,500 miles.
I do understand that at one point there was/is a TSB on the 6 speed trans, does anyone know the TSB #?

Thanks again!

Buddy, you signed a contact stating warranty terms NO MATTER WHAT (unless you tampered or aftermarket'd anything). A different dealership is in your near future if you want the replacement to be done under your real warranty (not this fake crap this guy thinks you have). This is a problem with the 2AR-FE Transmission. Many have come across this... even during test drives of the brand new car!!! Get this taken care of the right way. I'm honestly here to tell you truthfully that these guys are jerking you around.
