Alternative to an exhaust system?
Well, What up?
Anyways! I've been flipping in and out of getting a new exhaust for my ride. There's so many popping up... and then the price tags... I don't know what to do!
For me, the sound it makes is more important than the performance.
So, my question and dilemma is, are there alternative/cheaper ways to make my ride sound a bit better? I'd like it to sound more like Descendants exhaust system, but without a 400+ price-tag.
Can I just swap a muffler or something.. or is that basically what all these exhaust systems are?
lol. Thanks =]

Please do a drive-by as well as a start-up and rev.
Thank you so much!
I think a lot of folks are going to be sads about exhaust on this car. The high compression Scion did with the 2.5 really makes these things sound like a Honda imho.
Also, just as a curious question, is there any reason to go with a 3" diameter on a N/A setup? (ofc is this is a thread-jack feel free to ignore me)

The cheapest way of making your ride louder is to loosen the two bolts that hold your axle-back to the exhaust system. Take those bolts out and put washers in-between the two flanges and bolt it back together again. If it is not loud enough, add more washers to make the gap larger (between the axle-back muffler and the exhaust pipe). When you need to get it inspected, take the washers out. It is reversible, adjustable and very redneck…if the shoe fits, ware it!

Quick picks...Tomorrow i will be installing and i will post up a video for you guys. Overall the exhaust looks great, i will try and take pics of the stock and hks side by side tomorrow! It does come with exhaust hangers just in case anybody wanted to know!
