Descendant Racing Intake in COLOR
I have a proposition for y'all. After seeing the purple paint job Papa Bear has for his intake, I asked what I could do to get a different color than black or chrome.
To make it worth his while, it will take a total of 6 of us to purchase custom paint schemes. It's an extra $60, but that's because it's a true automotive paint with base color and clear coat shot in a booth and baked on before shipping to us. I don't know what it runs in your areas, but the local shop here wants $100 just to spray paint my taillights dark!
So, yes, I'm doing this because I really want the red CAI for my car, but I think it's a slick way to get an intake to truly match your color scheme.
Again, here are the details. Please post it up with what color you want if you're in:
Item: Descendant Racing Intake
Cost: $250 (free shipping)
Colors: Red, Gold, Purple (maybe a different color with enough demand???)
Colored Intake Signup List:
1. MightyP - Red
2. WellesleyScion - Gold
3. johndeo11 - Blue
4. DEF3NDER - Blue (sciontc2.com)
5. pearlwhite_z - Gold
6. ???

Definitely! The price is incredible whether you get it in color or not. Excluding the Obnoxious Performance website, the Injen intake is generally running about $260 and the Takeda intake is going for over $300. And both are just in your standard black or chrome.
A quality, custom paint job will normally cost you more than $60 unless you happen to know a paint guy.

I don't have any dyno sheets from descendant yet, however I have access to all current intakes available and currently they all follow the exact same path with identical piping size and a similar filter. All the different gains these companies are putting out is really just a play on the dyno numbers. This intake however just happens to be a fraction of the price

^ Thanks, but it's actually Corey's intake. I'm getting mine in red! now I'm just hoping enough people (1 other person would be a nice start!) get in on this to I can get it in a custom color.
