Default Headers with Catalytic Converter?

I came across this Magnaflow: https://www.autozone.com/emission-co...3_25137_234588

Will that offer added performance? It says it has a 3 inch outlet,
but I feel like that may not be true. Is the Dezod Green the only other one?

Are you saying that for this particular header or for headers in general on a tC2? I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this particular header and how it might stack up against the Dezod Green Header.

I'm guessing if the output is at least larger than stock, then it should be doing something. I would be coupling this with CAI and Exhaust, so I'm thinking about overall gains.

Think about this for a second.

COLD air intake. But what is supplying the cold air if your car is NA (naturally aspirated) no turbo etc...
sure it'll have some sort of heat shield but it's like sticking a frozen dinner into a freezer in hell and wondering why it wont freeze.

The cars CPU also sometimes wont play well with a new larger hole it may create new problems that the CPU thinks is wrong and may throw a code etc you never know brotha remember cars were designed with OEM parts to operate a certain way once you start changing variables, you change the whole operation!

But, I see where you are going, to make ANY difference once you install all that, get your car tuned to perform better with your new set up but all this will MAYBE give you an extra 10-15 ( mostly because of the tuning ) remember to actually change performance you need a lot more than just exhaust, headers and CAI but it is a step in the right direction!

I hear you - I am going with a Unichip as well. So, CAI, headers, Full Cat Back Exhaust, S-Pipe, Crank pulley, Unichip, and sway bars/front strut bar.

Any thoughts on these specific questions:

The Magnaflow vs Dezod Green
Magnaflow vs stock

Will it be worth my while going with the Magnaflow, again keeping in mind everything I'm upgrading? Would the Dezod be worth the extra 200+ bucks?

I still need exact specs on output diameter. If it's 2.5 like the Dezod I think the Magnaflow makes sense as they both have Cats.

Ahh my bad LOL

Id personally go with magnaflow still yes but it's mostly about your preference, still worth it imo.

Thank you, it's what I'm leaning towards...once I get specs from the manufacturer, and confirm that it's at least 2.5 in output, it's a done deal. I read that the pipe is 3 in across (if that's correct), so I'm hoping that means the inside diameter is 2.5. I'm also going to check to see what my local dealership is specific on during inspections...I may still go with a catless header, since my exhaust will have a cat, if it won't pose an issue.

MF isn't designed to be a power adder, just an aftermarket legal alternative to shelling out however much Toyota wants to rip you off for.

Dezod Green is what you want if you want a catted header. It's fantastic quality and you do notice the pep. It's the only header with no rasp that also won't throw a CEL.

Thank you - I heard back from one company stating that the MF has same diameter as stock...so it's a no go. I seem to be hitting a barrier as the dezod green is discontinued. I'm contemplating on a catless header, but I'm in Virginia and am not sure if it will pass inspection. Going to check with my local shop in that regard.
