Strup told me in Mar they were developing one, but haven't heard anything since. And they aren't real good about responding to my messages.

Also, why is a CEL eliminator recommended with the header? It suggests to me that the header causes CELs. If that is the case, why? and should it be a concern?

I'm still keeping my wallet closed until I see IF the 2AR-FE really responds to breathing mods. ie bone stock to I/H/E = hp/tq? or will you end up with horrid mpg and only power at over 4500 rpms (questions like that, ya dig?)

Good to know someone has a header out, but... it's only one!

Easy answer, you're removing the primary catalytic converter. The second sensor on the exhaust will notice this and throw a CEL thinking it's faulty because the exhaust flow change. The CEL fix positions the sensor further away from the exhaust to trick the reading like factory. There's plenty of discussion on this in the tC1 section to ease your mind on this, it's nothing bad.

Not telling you to not buy it, just saying what *I* plan to do. Keep in mind I have only put in the K&N filter, pulled off the carbon filter, and removed the snorkel on my tC, even though I have an Injen SP2117 sitting here.

I wait. I always do. I am really looking forward to this time next year, when people will have had their exhausts, or a header, maybe with an intake, and run some dynos so we can all see numbers on different mods...

...especially since *I* know I won't be doing FI until my warranty expires in 5 years.

O yea I know but it's still good info I didn't think about also aftermarket parts don't void your warranty unless the dealer can prove that the after market part was at fault they just can't say it's because of the part they have to prove it and it's your right to modify your car

I talked with Rob from Descendant and they had expressed some interest in building a race header, but it would delete the cat and therefore be for "off-road use only". If there is enough interest in this, I'm sure they'd consider it further...

I would definitely be in on this if it were a 4-1 one piece all the way back to the cat-back.
