Default HKS vs. Stock exhaust

This is my first thread on scionlife.com so im new at this but I just bought a 2011 superwhite tc n want to get started right away with the exhaust. DOES ANYONE have a HKS exhaust installed? I can't find any reviews besides a youtube video (made by hks) saying it was 6 db louder then stock on the axle back.

Appears you would be the first (at least on Scionlife) to get one.

And welcome to the forum.

HKS is a great company man. I'm sure the fitment is perfect, and the tone should be nice as well.

Pssh, half the fun of being first is letting others learn from your mistakes. It's fun, gives you a little rush tearing into a brand new car.

I bought the Descendant exhaust the other day. I was looking at the HKS but honestly that tip is what broke the sale. I just don't like it, it looks too "cheap" ricer for me. But hey to each their own. HKS is a great brand my roommate's Nissan Silvia is decked out in HKS.

One thing I notice though is that it is an axle back and install should be nothing.

Kind of hard to push out that type of cash without making some kind of educated decision and comparing what others have used. One day, maybe i'll just be able to do that, but until then, "We hungry cuz..."

And did I hear someone say a bag of chips???

Lets be open minded about the dB reading. 95dB is the legal limit, so its rather close.

You might want to hurry. HKS USA is closing. They sent a letter out to distributers last week.

They are just shutting down HKS USA. They still will have HKS Japan and will be shipping parts to the USA if you need them. I am actually waiting until GReddy releases their Turbo Ti-C exhaust. I have been calling them, emailing them and I have heard no response. I am thinking about saying eff them.
