Default How much power

2014 Scion tC feels a little flat in mid range. without opening the engine or installing a turbo, what kind of power could you get with an intake and exhaust? And/or any other both on parts.

Strange... mid range should be where you feel the most power. I believe turbo is the only way to go unless you just want to make your car look and sound faster.

Maybe I should say high range. Really though I just feel the car could use another 40 hp. Turbo seems a little overboard.

I like a quiet car. Stock exhaust note is plenty loud.

In terms of bolt ons, the only thing that really won't add excessive noise would be a light weight pulley. A NOS kit would probably give you that extra 40 though, but that's a slippery slope.

Don't count on adding any power to this car without a turbo. Just settle in and enjoy what you already have...or else this car will turn into a bottomless money pit that you'll never get a return from.
