How to turn Traction Control Off through all gears..
Turn the key to on position
Unplug mass air flow sensor(sensor on top of intake)
Let ECM reset (you will hear it)
Plug sensor back in
Start car
Your check engine light and skid control light will be on
No worries it will reset after 5 starts
This works with automatics/manuals
Please note in the automatic if you go to Sport Mode it will not shift up for you! It will hit the rev limiter until you shift, just like a manual!!!!
Enjoy

i have a manual but my wife has an auto both gen 2's it works with both of them
if you have an auto the rev limiter will hit around 6,300 it will not damage the car if you hit the limiter thats why its there! The rev limiter protects from dangerous high rev, it will truly give you the feel of driving a manual every shift is relied on you and not the computer give it a shot, in drive mode it will shift on its own
hope this helps

this helps so much with hitting high speeds on windy roads that stupid traction light will never flash again and cut your power until you start it and turn it off 5 times then you will have to repeat the delete process

Thanks. I only ask because I'm Boosted and haven't really tested the trannys limits. I've only done it a couple times and actually punched in the gas.
I haven't had slippage Per se but have always been hesitant due to the auto trans. The tC1's limits are known but this is an entirely new trans.

if your boosted then this will make driving so so so very fun for you this way you can burnout as long as your heart desires, with the boost you also may find the limiter is closer to 6,500 rather than 6,300
im full race N/A manual but i found with traction off, shift 1st-2nd@5,900, 2nd-3rd at 6,300, and every gear after that 6,500
the short shift from 1st-2nd helps gain traction and keeps you in the power band real nicely

My traction control once off continues to stay off when I turn it off.
My cars a 13 though.

Do you have to do this and the whole maf unplug/ecu reset or does just pressing and holding all 3 for a bit turn on "sport mode"? Does something flash to let you know it worked?

Just had a look through the ol' owners manual. Does pressing the clutch, brake, and trac button for a few secs do any thing differeant than just holding the trac button down for 3 secs? (Holding traction control button down for 3 seconds turns off traction control and vehicle stability control 100% until you turn off your car)

Holding only the traction button down for 3 seconds only lasts until you go past 30mph. I'm not completely sure for auto's but for manuals, holding all three down(clutch, brakes, and traction) turns it off without any limitations. So, you can go past 30mph and the traction doesn't enable itself again like it would if you only pressed the button.

yeah he is right but on my 2011 you dont have to hold the clutch and brake just simply hold the traction button for about 3 to 5 seconds and the traction off stays off you will see the skid off light appear which i have never seen before just tested it out and its awesome!!!!!

Actually, the correct way to disable traction control and the VSC is to be stopped and then hold the "Trac Off" button for approximately 5 seconds. Then you will see that the "Trac Off" light and the VSC off light will come on. This will disable the TCS and the VCS until you get WAY out of shape, but the TCS will stay off.
I drive a 6 speed 2nd Gen. So, there is a correct way to do it without having to do all the resetting of the ems and taking the maf in and out.
