Default Intake and Front Strut Brace issues

I installed a strut tower brace on my tc2 about a week agao and my cold air intake made it in on wednesday and i installed it. After instalation on my cold air intake I started to having a rattling noise from the engine bay. Its from my CAI rubbing on my front strut tower brace. Does anyone have any solutions for this problems. I tried adjusting the strut bar to not rub but at starts it is really loud i also put some padding on top of the cold air intake to stop the noise and it helped. Is there anythiong I can do besides that to stop it? have a car shop coming up and dont want that to cost me a win. any information would be greatly appreciated.

What are the brands? I have the Injen CAI and plan to get a struts brace sometime. Don't want rubbing issues like you have.

Yeah, different intake/strut tower bar combinations will have differing results.

I have the Takeda intake, which travels up pretty high from the intake manifold. I was not able to use it with the Cusco strut tower bar.

However, the Injen and Descendant intakes don't have that same issue. From looking at photos, it also looks like the AEM intake shouldn't have that issue either.

I suggest definitely making sure that your intake is installed and pushed as far down onto the manifold as possible to ensure you aren't adding any unnecessary height to your intake.

i have good clearance between the intake (descendant) and strut bar (cusco). but the MAF sensor clearance was only paper thin.

so what i did was cut a couple cm off the intake tubing so it would sit lower (below the strut bar). I had to cut it anyways to make room for the bypass valve.
