I was just wondering if anyone heard any good/bad news about megan. Also I'm thinking of getting a tsudo, any suggestions between megan and tsudo?

Interesting... I like to know myself. Megans are good quality products! The axle-back look like the TRD. Might sound just like it. The cat-back looks like Tsudo. Both of the prices are cheaper than most!! Is there any sound clips on youtube? And dyno for the cat-back?

 

Well as with any other catback exhaust I'm sure you will lose some low end and the mid to high won't be too significant. And no I have not seen any dynos or sound clips. I didn't even know megan released an exhause for the tc2

 

Yeah that's true... cat-backs are pretty much all the same when it comes to low end and high end gain/info. Just from what I've read and seen here. I do want to hear what it sounds like for sure! Their shipping fee is kinda wicked. However it does come with hangers, just not sure if better or the same as stock. Could just get torque solutions hangers.

They have a flat rate of $75 shipping to U.S. (it says to 48 states). Both for axle-back and cat-back. I guess not bad if those hangers are similar to torque solutions. One less item to buy, one less shipping to pay...

 

I have the Megan axle back on my 1st gen tc. It looks and sound almost as good as the TRD. Only difference is the burned blue tip that makes it stand out and the sound is a little bit deeper than the TRD. I like it tho

 

The muffler on the axle back looks very large though. Almost twice the diameter of the TRD.

 

There is no cat in the megan catback exhaust; only the resonator, midpipe, and axleback. This means that there's a good chance that it will be ricy

 

The Tsudo and descendant exhausts don't have the second cat either right?

 

The Tsudo has the cat, I'm not sure about the Descendant

 

Pretty sure it's just dual resonated. It says it eliminates the second cat on ERZ performance website where I got it from.

 

well it doesnt really go in into much detail about the dual resonator, but if it sounds anything like the tc1's drift spec exhaust, it will sell off the shelves in a heartbeat.

For those who used both Tsudo and Megans in the past, what are some advantages over the other? I would like to know the big or small difference between the two so I can decide which one to go with. These two looks very similar to one another, except one have 2 cats and the other only 1. So do the 2 cats make it sound very deep?

I’ve listened/watched several Tsudo S2 cat-backs on YouTube and without the silencer, it sounds like a beast and loud! Nothing like “rice” sounding at all. Perfect video is biglilsteve. Thanks Steve! The before and after sound was very helpful! And big difference!!

 

I went with this exhaust for the main reason that it looks OEMish just polished with the blue tip. The sound isnt that bad either. Its not loud for its size. I dont really like the canister look on the others

 

Anyone have sound clips of Megans? I can tell you the Tsudo S2 sound really good!!

 

You are right. Neither has the tiny, factory second cat.
