The good news is that since mine is sandblasted, it's already rough and I don't have to sand...just degrease it.

I lightly Sanded first. Then used 2 coats of VHT High Temp Primer. 3 coats of VHT High Temp Enamel.
Then air cure for a week. Then bake in a oven *200 degrees for a hour. Finished with 3 coats of VHT Clear Coat.

Mine haven't chipped but, haven't had them on that long.
