Now if you click on the links there are the spec sheets:
tC1 vs tC2
0-110mph 28.4 vs 24.5 seconds
tC1
Top-gear acceleration, 30–50 mph . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8.5
50–70 mph . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9.0
tC2
Top-gear acceleration, 30–50 mph . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 11.3
50–70 mph . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 11
it looks like a extra gear and 20 HP give you better top end
but in a top gear acceleration tC2 is a loser
I wanted to put this up because every time I meet a tC1 they go on about how that the tC1 is better then the tC2 and how the tC1 will smoke a tC2 but, matter of fact Scion improved the car in every way at the cost you pay $1300 more for it
I know people are going to have their opinions I say lets have it

Well I'm sure this has been discussed PLENTY of times before but all im gonna bring up is that's stock. And im sure the majority of people here/out there have at least some mods on their rides which will vary it maybe sparingly but sometimes a significant amount. I have an tC1 auto so i really cant talk for speed here but IMO you will rarely have a race where both cars are stock. At least in my experiences

i duno but every tC2 ive raced has been the slowest cow ever... ive driven it.. its slow IMO... numbers dont mean much when it comes to actual experience.

I raced my buddy on tge freeway 3rd and 4th gear and he was right next to me both gears. Mine was stock and his car had header wich i dont think it gives him a whole lot with the rest of the exhaust being stock. IMO i think they run about the same, ive driven his car b4 and really theres not a big difference from my car. I got a tc2 and he got a 2006 tc. We r planning on taking the cars to the 1/4 track but idk when.

First of all love the comments second I never said the tC is a sports car but if you are on a Forum chances are you either modified your car or are planning to why to make a car perform better the word is called tuning
but this thread is not about drivers its about the cars and test shows a 2011 tC is better from its power to its braking listen I can throw a random person in a 370Z who cant drive stick and say I smoked a 370Z.
This why we got car magazines and so on to take driver variable out my friends the test shows stock for stock the tC2 outperforms so there is no argument the facts are facts not opinions.
Car tuning is both an industry and a hobby, in which an automobile, motor bike, scooter or moped is modified in order to improve its performance, handling and presentation and improve the owner's driving style.
As most vehicles leave the factory set up for average driver expectations and average conditions, tuning has become a way to personalize the characteristics of the vehicle to the owner's preference.
For example, they may be altered to provide better fuel economy, produce more power at high RPM or the ride comfort may be sacrificed to provide better handling.

I pretty sure the negative feedback is from tC1 owners
look for the last time this thread is not about if a Scion tC is a sports car which is not just a comparison between two stock cars and far as goes
defending myself that is a good one I am not stupid enough to get my car impounded and out a couple of G's to prove a point.
Second, I used to go the LACR very often back in the day and the fastest tC1's would run stock low 16's and modded 15's tC costs 19k for its price pretty good performance car
tuning people called tuning http://www.world-racing.com/vehicles.htm
You put money a car and build to your desire 500hp tC why not hell there is
Neon coupes running 10's which will put Vipers to shame look the point for the last time tC2 has been improved

For $ 18,204.08 I got an 08 Spec w/alarm & floor mats. I have a cohesive ("sporty")looking interior, less a sunroof, cruise control, 17" alloy wheels, some other incidentals, and a bit less weight.
Like me, tC2 has no passenger auto up window, no engine cover. tC2 has larger heavier wheels & brakes, which should slow it more quickly. Hmm, could C&D be wrong?
It's like having a peeing contest in the wind, both are winners ?!
As said, it's a driver's race; call it a day.
