Default Tranny issues?

Hey guys, I have a auto 2015 tC with 21K miles. I did a drain and fill on the tranny at Toyota and they said everything looked good, fast forward a week and something happened. As I was leaving work I had to kind of punch it to get into the lane, as I was doing so the revs held at 3500 for a few seconds and then went down, didn’t shift during this time, almost as if I was in sport mode and didn’t shift to the next gear. Everything else has been fine, I had a friend hook up a code reader and had 0 codes. Could this have been a random fluke since the car was barley warmed up? Haven’t had any other issues and I did the drain and fill because I felt the car sat a while before it was sold, so wanted fresh fluid since I’d be mostly in traffic in LA. Have you guys had any weird things happen with your cars? I doubt the tranny is going bad with 21K miles but idk what to think since I haven’t had a car in 11 years. Any info is helpful!

Cold transmissions do weird things when they're pushed sometimes. The shifting issues for (most Toyota) auto's have been a common annoyance for the ATX guys AFIAK, and was one of the things the Orange Virus tuner addressed. I think they're discontinued but you can message them and see if they still have any in stock or are looking to release any more units.

I’ve had the car about three months, I usually let it warm before driving it, Toyota said the rougher shifts while cold were normal, however when it kept the rpms at 3500 ish, that kinda worried me, was almost like it was holding the rpms if I needed more power. Codes were clear and I’m not sure if it’s me or if it’s a tranny issue, thing is I doubt tranny, because of the mileage but you never know. I do have the extended warranty with a $100 deductible so I guess if it gets worse I’ll take it in. Just being cautious! Thanks for your help and the info.
