Default TRD CAI

Hey Guys I am looking into buying the TRD CAI and was wondering what you guys thought about it? Also one of the other threds said something about Hydrolocking has anyone had this happen and what caused it?

I have it and don't mind it. Intakes are intakes really. I prefer the look of a stock engine bay, so the TRD suits me because its pretty much a stock air box with upgraded inlets and outlets.

Not really much more to say about it though. But it is nice that it's covered by the factory warranty too!

That was one of my main thoughts that it would be covered by warranty. And I do like the stock look does it make a difference in engine bay sound? Any water issues?

The inlet for the intake doesn't extend far enough into the bumper well as to catch water, so no, I don't see any issues unless you sink the car up to it's headlights in water.

As for sound, I wish I could help but I had an exhaust on the car before I installed the intake. Hard to hear it over the sound out back. But I have heard from others that they could hear something distinctly different from the car after it was installed. Not much else to go on other than that though...sorry.

I had it on my xb and loved the sound. I think you'll be happy with it. Check out YouTube. There's some vids with XB's with trd cai.

Got it installed sounds good so far has anyone gotten any of a MPG increase?
