TRD Cold air and exhaust questions.
What gains in gas milage could one expect with these mods? I understand some modest power gains would result and I'd expect some fuel milage improvement. Since I'm contemplating purchasing new I'd only consider offerings from TRD. Thank you for your opinions and shared experiences.
Zip, zero, nada. You will not see any real measurable gain in fuel economy that will recoup and expense you put out for these parts. it is just for sound and fury to make the car more fun sounding to drive.
They're aren't any parts you can add to your car for better mileage. atleast nothing that will actually yield any expense to savings benefit, the car is as efficient as toyota could make it. The only thing you could that would actually net you a savings on gas mileage is remove excess weight like the spare tire and jack, rear seats, sound deadening etc and that is about it.
You won't really increase mileage. I have an AEM CAI and a straight pipe axle back, gas mileage for the most part remained the same. However, I have achieved 35+mpg on a flat stretch of highway but that was only twice.
