TRD Cold Air Intake
FYI,
dropped by dealer today to purchase all-weather mats.
Apparently they have the TRD CAI in stock, but the prices have not come out yet. And that's in Canada (it looks good, I saw it
)
Any word on this in the US?

Theres a link for it on trdsparks.com. However, states, NOT AVAILABLE TIL FALL... what a disappointment. Last I asked, Fujita was about to release their F5 intake for the tC2.

I emailed Scion last month about the intake and they said it was still in Development would be middle spring maybe. Impactracingzone.com has SRI and CAI intakes they were released from Injen on Monday.
I have not heard anything about it being cancelled. We are currently waiting for a production piece to come in for final evaluation.
I went to my Toyota and the guy said they have them, but they are beyond backorderd. I asked him twice because once before they told me they had it but it was actually for the wrong thing, he told me something like $560?? Dont quote me 100% on this, cause i was just dropping by before i had to head out to class. It's definately more expensive than the Injen though.

No intake improves a stock vehicle's powerband. They usually provide a "blip" in power around where most variable valve systems kick in; high in the powerband. This can be anywhere from 1-100hp gained, but only for a brief moment.
If your buying an intake with power on the brain, you'd be wasting your money. If your buying one with the premise that it actually improves air flow and efficiency during all types of driving, you'd be leading down a better path.
