Yes. cheap way, nitrous, proper way, turbo kit.

Nitrous equals accelerated engine death, proper turbo kit likely equals more money than an 18 year old can afford. So just accept that your friend owns a faster car and get on with your life.

Please don't do the eBay turbo kits either.

Making the TC faster is kind of expensive. Atleast where it is NOTICEABLY faster

Just add some turbo, sport, VVTI stickers on the car. Each sticker gives 5+ hp!!!!

only way to actually make it faster would be to properly turbo it.... basic bolt ons like intake and exhaust wont do anything for you, like many people seem to think

Start with motor mount. Instant more direct feel. Then, put an intake for sounds, 'cause when it sounds mean you feel better (well, I do ). Next step would be lighter wheels, like those Enkei RPF-1 or O.Z Alleggerita. If you still got $$ in the bank, put the NST pulley and the Dezod green header.

I don't know if you will beat your friend's TL, but you will surely have more fun driving your tC.

the supercharger will not make a tC faster than a TL.

I'm afraid the market is too small for Toyota to start offering turbos for the tC's. And if they do, I bet it will be for the FR-S.

True. 25-30k for a turbo fwd car and you have better designed cars in the same price range. Rwd and/or awd etc

It's all about your expectations really. Some people buy a tC and expect to have an M3-like experience and then they whine because the car is underpowered.

When I bought this car, I was used to drive my 05 XRS and I expected the tC to be in the same ballpark (actually I prefer the tC because I don't need to rev the ____ out of it to get power). I didn't expect the car to drive like an R34 or some other fast machine. I expected an economic but fun to drive car, and that's what I got. That's the reason why I'm very happy with the tC.

I'm adding bolt-ons mainly for sound (CAI, exhaust) and feel (motor mount, quickshifter). This car is already fast enough to get killed, kill someone else or get speeding tickets.

^ yep. I personally just bought the car for reliable sporty coupe. Adding no power mods, just luxury mods music, and leather to make more comfortable.
The car works for me as is.

That's where mine started honestly. I just like mine so much more boosted now. Aside from being poor now...
