Default What limited slip differential choices do we have?

Hi folks,

I'm looking for information on both current, and near-future, limited slip differential options for the Scion tC2 (11+).

As far as I'm aware, the only choice at present is the OS Giken LSD. It's an excellent product I'm sure, I just want to make an informed decision of all choices available and soon to be available.

Any idea who else might be coming out with an LSD for our vehicles soon?

I'm going to be adding a turbo to my vehicle within the next month or so, and will be upgrading the clutch, flywheel, and some other odds & ends all at the same time. It's much easier on our mechanic to do all transaxle/drivetrain jobs at once, and that includes an LSD. If I do the LSD later, it's a lot more cumulative man hours spent on servicing something that could have been more easily serviced when he already had the transaxle out and exposed. I'd probably wait (at least briefly) on the whole project, if anything worthwhile was set to be released shortly.

Thank you!

-John

Descendant. The particular configuration is still up in the air, but ball bearing for sure at least -- perhaps Disco Potato.

I expect to finalize things with Kareem shortly.

bump. Also interested in seeing if anyone is currently in R&D or coming soon. The only thing I have come across is the OS Giken and it is a clutch type.
