well... you are lucky if you get 180hp with bolt ons and management on the 2az.... so if you had near 200hp then this dyno is really "horsepower happy"
Probably a bone stock tc1gen could get 160whp on it which is impossible.

what are your mods and engine management? And see this is why i question. If only bolt ons and engine management he shouldnt see near those numbers on the 2az.

you guys are missing the point, this is about 180'ish
whp. this is a hub dyno, so it read 10 hp more because no rim weight.

point is the stock power of a 2nd gen tc is as much as a 1st gen with cai, header, downpipe, mid pipe, exhaust, no cats plus piggy back. on the same dyno

Well of course there was gonna be more HP. But really that much more? Thats like 55whp more than a stock 5spd! Thats crazy if its true when its 180hp at the crank from Toyota's mouth!

well.. this would explain it... bottom line... i want to see a stock whp number on this church's dyno for the stock tc...because apparently it read more than 20hp extra. no 2az will see 200whp without built engine or blower

you lucky if you see 160-170 ish whp on 2az

its not like i did millions of dyno runs but this is the very first time i have heard anything like this... 20whp extra above the bhp... on an oversized economy engine..

put this on a regular dyno and i will be surprised even if this R engine only loses 10 hp to the wheels.

LOL It can go in every thread! Im tired of these people haveing no clue and acting like i dont when I am stating facts about what a 2az puts donw with those mods and it aint 196! Hey if I am wrong oh well. But the facts dont point to it. So i want more proof like anyone would normally want. To many people are just believeing it. (cough....ja_ro cough)

I think some of you are missing the point. A dyno is really just for comparison purposses and tunning. Besides that it can give you a general idea of how much power you are putting down, now every dyno is different so that is one problem right of the bat with comparing numbers to the old car on other dynos on other days. The guy in this thread or one of the other one said that his car with boltons had around the same power as this car on this same dyno. Also a quick Google search has turned up that this dyno seems to read high but it is used by the people a Hondata it seems, durring that search I also found out that a stock Civic Si on that dyno puts down 204whp and 154tq so this car is pretty close to a stock Si in terms of HP.

That would be great if it puts out those numbers. I just wanna get the facts right cause alot of people who really dont know much about stuff like this are gonna think the wrong things an make posts and are gonna get flamed! Been around here for 3 years and just want proper information out there.

The next question would be what do the other cars we are talking about such as the Civic SI dyno at that particular shop?

Yea. Thats what sucks about dynos. I wanna see 4 different tC2's dynoed on the same dyno. Particulary a mustang dyno or P-tunings dyno for some real world numbers
