Where did you get the lip? I've tried googling it but I couldn't find one like it.

So far, so good. No issues. I have a parasitic drain on the battery. I don't think its related to the aem fic though. I have to get it diagnosed. Could be my alarm system or audio setup. I'm getting about 31mpg on average. I can never tell nowadays because i constantly have to jump start the car due to the drain. Computer always resets. I haven't had time to get it checked out and don't know how to do it myself.

Whats your audio set up? How long have you had the battery drain issue? Could be the alarm or the aem but I would check the amp(s) first... If they're not wired correctly to power down when your head unit is off it can drain the battery quick...

I've got all alpine audio. I've had the drain for a while now but can't really pinpoint when it started happening since i hardly drive the car. gonna check the amps and wiring today.

Check the amp turn on wire. (Should have power, ground, amp turn-on all together). If that's wired to a wire on your head unit that's always powered you'd get your drain.

^Thanks for the tip. Didn't have a chance to check that out this weekend. I did take it to an audio shop to have my install done. i'd be surprised if they didn't know that. Of course, I went back to have it diagnosed and they closed down. That may explain a lot. Now i'm stuck with figuring it out myself and if not, looking for a reputable shop in the area to fix it.

On my amp there is an LED that is red to signify there is power available. That LED turns Blue when the amp is on. Depending on your amp you may have something similar. Just take a look at the amp. Also it wouldn't be that hard to pull the head unit and see which wire they tapped. I don't remember what color the switched 12v wire was off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure they were labeled.

Got a multimeter? Have friend put red/positive probe on amp turn on lead. Black/neg on ground wire. Turn ignition on and off. Don't have to actually crank. Amp turn on SHOULD go on/off with ignition. The actual power wire on the amp should be constantly 12v.

Stock radio or aftermarket? If stock they vary well could have read the wiring diagram wrong ( or didn't look at all) and tapped into the wrong wire. Had a ____ coworker tap into some wire that ran an Acura MDX's 4wd system (he tapped into a harness somewhere in the back instead of the radio and of course fried some electronic doodad). Lots of money to fix that screw up. And that was at Best Buy so it does happen. Aftermarket 99% of the time has an amp turn on lead. So not using that is incompetence but not unheard of.

Try the multimeter on the amp turn on wire. If you dont have one their dirt cheap at your local harbor freight etc. it should have a voltage setting that has different ranges. Set it to read 12v. (itll have options to read millivolts etc). That'll tell you the amp turns on/off correctly. Any LEDs/cathode tubes for any interior lighting?

Should have the blue with a white stripe, that's the remote wire coming from the aftermarket radio and that would be the same wire that runs to the amp... I have seen bestbuy mess up wiring a lot and even seen them run the wire from the fusebox back for the remote wire to the amp and those do give off a parasutic drain when wired that way, very nice set up and alnost the exaxt same that I want to do and if you're really in chicago should come down to the car show in Peoria in september there will be a lot of scions there hopefully and I can look at it then if you want, I'm in the qc area of Illinois. Once again great looking car and hope that helps.

Was gonna say blue/white wire but couldn't remember. Also remembered all blue but that might be for a powered antenna

Yeah I saw some stuff working at best buy. So glad I got the hell out of there. That's what happens when you pay a college kid $10 an hour and expect them to do everything right

Thanks for the input guys. I've checked as much as i could and all appears to be correct.
Both my amps are Alpine amps and have a blue light in the center of them that does not light up. System still works correctly (i still hear sound). Also, when i took out radio to check, i did notice that the yellow/black cable coming from alpine power harness was completely missing (like it was pulled out or cut). I ordered a new
alpine harness. From doing research, i saw that my Pac TR7 (blue cable) is supposed to be wired somehow to that yellow/black cable. Could that be my issue?
Another symptom i noticed is that i cannot get to any of the other menus on the Alpine unit. Only option is to adjust audio controls.
Either way, i'm going to take it to a shop on Friday.
