Default Exhaust systems for a turbo tc2

Hello everyone I recently put the descendant bolt on and go turbo kit on my 2013 scion tc and I cannot stand the stock exhaust but I've read and heard that without it with this kit you get bad boost creep throughout the power band is anyone running exhaust with this setup? Or any boosted tc2 having any issues with boost creep and an exhaust? Anyone?

The descendant kit relies on backpressure for proper wastegate function due to it's ramhorn design. Talk to them before putting on a straight pipe or anything crazy, otherwise you may end up hitting 20psi during WOT.

This MAY only apply to xb2's, but it is the exact same manifold design, so unless they fixed this issue, I don't see why it wouldn't apply to tc's as well.

Definitely worth a quick phone call to check and see.

You may be safe to put on an axle back, and get a deeper tone...I actually stuck a vibrant ultra quiet flow through resonator in place of my oem muffler. Sounds great, weighs less, total win!

Yeah I love the sound of a full 3" system I was wondering if I could get away with a custom system it i put a resonator in there to keep the back pressure or if there was another way

There was an xb2 guy who figured it out...he had a second wastegate welded onto the manifold, and was able to run a full 3" turbo back exhaust. Apparently it gave him a huge power increase, but was a giant pain to make get the wastegate system to work properly.

It's in the xb2 boosted section of the forum somewhere, he had a whole write up on it I think.

That's a real pita it sounds like making me want to start piecing together the pieces to make my kit into a dezod or ptuning kit lol and just keep my BOV wastegate and turbo but at the same time I'd rather have a turbo kit than an exhaust but pretty crappy there's not an easier way to have both
