Default Looking into boost

Hey guys, I've had my 2011 for a couple months now and am starting to look into a turbo kit for it. It's the M/T and my daily driver so I'm wondering if it's worth the effort. Ive looked at and done some research on the descendant kit, and to me it looks like the way to go. I'm pretty new to forced induction but I've read some threads here as well as over at clubsciontc. I'm only looking for about 8 lbs of boost, is there any other upgrades I need to do in order run 8 lbs reliably? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not with descendants kit. Its straight bolt on with tuning included on the fic you get with it. They have a full thread on it and some great numbers on a otherwise stock tc. Your making the right choice with descendants kit

Great man thanks a lot. I've still got the stock exhaust on, would a different exhaust work better with the turbo or will the stock do the job?

The stock exhaust will be more restricted and you would not get as much hp. If you get a turbo back exhaust you can get a decent amount of hp out of it. Descendant has a turbo exhaust for around 600.

The exhaust won't add a ton more power. Descendant themselves said its fine on the stock exhaust even though you would for sure make more with their exhaust buts its not a necessity. However I recommend it

Is the Descendant Turbo exhaust a turbo back?

Hey everyone!

Thanks for for referring to our DESCENDANT / WORLD Racing 2011 Scion tC Turbo kit. Here's a couple pictures of the turbo manifold, downpipe & complete engine bay.

To answer some of the questions I saw posted...yes, 100% daily driver friendly and just like our other turbo kits the 2011 Scion tC kit is 100% plug & play. No cutting, no wiring, no BS.

If you'd like some more details please feel free to call or email me.

Thank you,

Rob C.

Arousing

So it's daily driver and automatic friendly...

How friendly is it on gas? Can you still use 87 octane? Fuel economy impact?...

100% Daily Driver Friendly just like all the Descendant / WORLD Racing Turbo Kits.

Gas consumption all depends on the drivers right foot! If you drive conservatively you'll get the same if not better gas mileage than you currently do n/a...however if your on the gas pedal going fast its a whole different story!! As for gasoline grade...IMO, I wouldn't recommend anything less than 91 octane in any engine your trying to take care of and the Descendant / WORLD Racing Turbo Kits base maps have all been developed on 91 octane but if you tuned your car for 87 octane it would work.

I too would 100% recommend Descendant Racing kits. No fuss and perfect fit with proven 300+whp on stock block. Why wouldn't you!?

Oh, and as Papa_Bear has also alluded to, the exhaust may not be needed, but because of the sound alone, I'd say its a must!
