Waiting on my black 2011 to arrive at the dealership so I can pick it up... but on second thoughts, I'll just drive it to yalls place and drop it off if yall will let me drive the tC with the 2.5 s.s. exhaust on it home. Just close your eyes and you'll never know....

You guys must have got a freak car as I ran mine today on a dyno dynamics dyno today and made 145.6whp. FAR from the 198.3whp posted.
EDIT: Just looked at the plot again. Made 145.8whp.

Your Dyno Dynamics run = 145.8whp
DynoPak dyno from World Racing = 198whp
DSport Magazine test on a dynojet = 180.11whp.
Either way, they underated the motor from the factory.

We need a official dyno thread to get this cleared up. because 145whp / 3000+ curb weight is not a fun car, but 200whp/tq would actually be convincing to alot of people for there next car considering it would be up there with the genesis which 180, the si, and such

^^Yeah, but how many independent sources do you need? A 1st gen tC on a Dyno Dynamics would probably put down 120whp.
It's safe to say that using Dynojet numbers it will put down 180 to the wheels. A few bolt on's and easily make 200whp (A Civic Si makes 200whp with bolt ons as well, but a whole lot less torque). When people start getting the 2011 tC and get past the break in point....I see it performing really well. Only thing left then would be to completely disable the Traction control. I wonder what the power difference is with the traction control on, and with it off. TCS will rob power when it's engaged. And Toyota set it up so you can turn it off, but it will automatically re-engage when you get past 31mph.

this sounds like a good deal, from descendants reading on the dynapack its acutally around 185whp stock.. and toyota claimed 180! Which is amazing really, the only thing that stands in front of me with this car is the curbweight, and the rear half of the car < but I can get over that.
Once I see some reviews on this car I might pick one up as a DD.
My 1g is not a good DD
and give some people like 6 months with this car and TCS will be outta there!
