Default Domelight wiring

Ok so I'm trying to figure out how to tap into the domelight wires. I was hoping to tap into them by the fuse box.... Can someone please fill me in on which wires it is? ?

8 pin connector at the instrument panel junction block. Inside the panel to the left of the steering wheel. Pin # 3, blue wire.

"8 Pin Connector"

See the small connector below the connector you've labelled 1? That is the connector you want. You want the top/middle pin in that connector. Wire should be blue.

Best ground in the area is inside the drivers kick panel. Remove the drivers door scuff plate and then remove the kick panel. You will see a 10mm bolt looking straight at you with several vehicle grounds on it. Disconnect your negative battery cable before disconnecting/connecting that ground.

Any more questions just ask

Ok thank's so much! I was overwhelmed looking at all the wires and I see nothing online to help... I'll definitely tackle this tomorrow.

Well yes, you tapped into a constant 12v wire. Unless you install a switch they will stay on. You are getting power before the dome light.

Let me have a look for the wire to go after the switch

I was able to get it.... I ended up just running my wires straight to the domelight and tapping into the blue and black wire there.
