Default floormats question, from TRDSparks

When you order the mats yourself because the dealer is unwilling to budge even a single $ on them(let alone throwing them in for free), do you also need to order the little clips that go in the holes in the floorboard?

I assume it takes seconds to install the clips too, correct? How many clips are needed for the full set of 4+1 cargo? I obviously don't own a TC yet, otherwise I would simply look in the car.

Cargo mats dont need clips and just the driver seat has the mat clips to keep the mat from pushing on the gas like other toyota cars were having issues with. Secondly You should not have to pay for the mats they should come with the car and if the dealer is not willing to give them to you I would find another dealer or contact scion corp office. My 2011 tC came with nice mats that even had the tC logo on them so dont let them screw you...

Squall is correct. $19360 w/o mats, $19544 with. That is exactly $184 for the mat set which IS found on every car I have seen through AutoTrader or browsing the inventories of every single local dealers website. No one advertises the car without them.

So, I'll need two clips. Does the clip just pop into place?

I ordered mine without the mats because they're 82+55 on trd sparks. Most dealers in my area order their tc's with mats and wheel locks. This way they shove you accessories you didn't ask for.

Right, but after you buy the clips and add cheapest shipping(FedEx Residential) Sparks is only $16-$24 cheaper.

Sparks adds $8 shipping just to add the clips!!! Test it yourself. $22.10 vs $30.50 same shipping to Houston. Apparently it doesn't calculate weight, but rather the amount of items in your cart instead.

So, I found a cheaper place to get the OEM mats:

4 piece set $75.90:
https://www.partswebsite.com/oempart...page=1&rcatid=

Cargo mat $50.60:
https://www.partswebsite.com/oempart...page=1&rcatid=

UPS ground shipping is only $12.95 too. Grand total $139.15

If you search the net, you can find the cargo COVER for well under that websites listed $90 also. ebay for example $70 shipped...I think I found one for $55 shipped somewhere but didn't save the page.

If I just wanted to "deal with the 200 bucks", I wouldn't have bought a Scion.

LOL, technically you did pay for that tank of gas too... dealer documentation normally includes the price of a cleaning and a full tank, as well as prepping the paperwork for the RMV or DMV(depending on what your state calls themselves) and keeping and storing copies of your paperwork.

Get the clips for the driver floor mat at the dealer, floor mats at TRDSparks if you don't want the added shipping, or give a call to TRDSparks, even message them on here.

If you really really want that. You could even try eBay. Seems you still haven't gotten the car yet, or did you? Are you really that pressed for $$$? Scion is the first brand I ran into that doesn't budge for a thing. Only other thing you can try is find some one at the parts dept willing to price match, and catch them at the counter. I myself am lucky to know one guy that is still willing to hook me up at Sparks prices, the other one I knew haven't seen him working for a while.
