If it's anything like the tC1 swap then you have to cut the little plastic piece to dis-assemble and then super glue it back together when you'r finished stripping the orange.

^ He's right.

I did it a little different, but it's not hard. When you pull the needles off and look at the underside, you'll see 2 plastic nubs. Those are what are holding the needle together. I just used tweezers to squish the nubs until the back popped off. I swapped the color and popped the back on again. I didn't use any glue and the needle stays together just fine.

There should be a small notch in the corner of the led, put them on the same way they came off.

no, thats a polarity mark. a LED is a diode so it only allows flow of current one way. i think they were all in the upper right hand corner when i did mine, i took a lot of pictures so if you cant figure out the polarity, i can send those to you.

I just pulled out my gauge cluster and have it mostly disassembled, but I'm having a problem trying to get the needles/***** off. Bloodborn's write up says to pull up but when I do so they do not pop off. It's possibly that I'm not pulling hard enough but I'm fairly confident they should have come off with the amount of force I applied. I don't want to do any damage. Do they have to be in a certain position to come off? They are all zeroed and the cluster is flat. I'm pulling directly up but they are stuck on there pretty well.

It's a 2012 tc.

Thanks in advance.

I got them off and the soldering went smoothly, I now have blue gauge lights. Thanks for all the help. I do, however, want to change those orange strips on the needles to make them blue (or green or white). I couldn't figure out how to get them off though, has anyone done this?
