help with led guage swap

I got them off and the soldering went smoothly, I now have blue gauge lights. Thanks for all the help. I do, however, want to change those orange strips on the needles to make them blue (or green or white). I couldn't figure out how to get them off though, has anyone done this?
give them a PM for detailed instructions. i know they posted it somewhere on the forum before...but dont remember where.
i think it was something like...pitching the ends with tweezers and then they split apart easy, then remove the paint...like with nail polish remover...and repaint...with modeling paint maybe? yea those guys know better

i was the first person to do them on a tC2 afaik.. 
take apart the needle, carefully remove the clear plastic part, and scrape off the orange crap off.. repaint, and reassemble the needle..
