You sound like me, just got my 2012 after my 2007 got totalled (hit and run driver).

Have you tried another phone with it as a test?

Ok I was calling around to different places to narrow the issue. I called verzion to see if there was a setting I was missing, and as I was on the phone it worked. Now is there a setting on the heading unit to use one player over the other for music?

You shouldn't need to touch the head unit at all to get it to work. The volume and everything is controlled by the Bluetooth module.

Question: do you hear the beep confirmation noises through your speakers when you are pairing the phone with the car?

I work for vzw so I'm trying to remember the breakouts menus from memory. Try going to settings. Wireless & networks. Bluetooth settings. When you see the cars Bluetooth in the list try pressing and holding on it or if there is a settings button for it. Some phones let you chose phone audio and media audio separately from that. I can set my s3 to do just my phone calls, music or both. Also sometimes I have to go into the Bluetooth menu and click on the cars Bluetooth. I have to initiate the connection sometimes.

i do not hear any clicking when i get in the car it just works wonderfully now as far as that goes.

and the issue i am having now is that the music player i use now is the default player for media and it works, but i can not use the car controls for it. wen i do use the car controls it starts playing from the tunewiki app that i have at the same time. sorry for not making that clear before.

so is there a way that i can have it not use the tunewiki app and just use the default player, or display the song info on the head unit while using the tunewiki app? as it stand then using the default player app it shows song info, when using the tunewiki app it just flashes "pause" at me.

I had a similar problem, but then realized my bluetooth volume on my phone itself wasn't turned up...lol
