Default Keyless Entry Unlock Both Doors

I have an RS 7, and want to know if there is any way to program the keyless entry to unlock both the driver and passenger door when I touch the door handle?

Did you RTFM? If not, ask the dealer you bought it from...it's still under waranty. Not too many of us here have RS7s. If they don't know the answer (and my guess is that they don't - they are pretty useless at the dealers), I'd call the Scion Corporate Offices in Torrance, CA and complain/ask them.

My wife's Lexus would unlock all the doors if you went to the passenger door first and only the driver's door if you went to the driver's door. Had something to do with safety and getting car jacked.

Hmmm…forces you to be a gentleman and open the door for your passenger first.

Please it only takes a few minutes which is less time then coming on here and asking us. You do know what the next question you would ask "Well how do I do it?" to which you RTFM!!! to find out. So cut out the middle man and RTFM please.

I don't know about the Scion, but for Prius, you can set it to open all doors and trunk by pressing and holding both "lock" and "unlock" buttons on the remote key fob for 5+ seconds. It beeps a several times. Do the same thing to switch back to open only the driver door.

It's not too hard, but it defeats the purpose of smart entry system.

Aftermarket alarm with D2D capability, DBALL with TL4 f/w and program to double pulse if you use the factory arm/disarm wires, no need for double pulse if you go straight to lock/unlock.

As far as with the factory fob, I do not know.
