Default My Front Door Tweeter Mod

After the first month that I've owned my car I've grown to hate the stock tweeter with passion. So I immediately modded the front panel to accommodate my Kicker KS25 1" tweeter. I carried that tweeter from my previous car into my TC2. I absolutely loved it for its quality of sound however there was 1 major flaw with the design of this car that prevented me from hearing the tweeter in all its glee. It's the fact that the tweeter is positioned in a horrible area on the door with no method of directing it towards the person. So after dealing with that for an entire year, I've decided to do some researching to see what would work and still maintain a clean look to what I'm wanting out of my particular sound system. I stumbled across many tweeters and didn't find anything quite to my liking until I really looked into the Infinity Kappa 6.5" Component Set. The tweeter in this set is within a housing that allows you to position it anyway you like... most importantly directly towards the person in the seat.

I purchased it and did my own modifications to it by separating the grill from the tweeter to paint it semi-gloss black. Instead of the silver grille look, it now blends in with the door panel which to me is awesome. I also used a sod iron to open a large enough hole where the existing tweeter was by melting the plastic so I can fit the housing for the Infinity Tweeter through. The housing itself is larger than 1".. it's almost like 2" in diameter.

Nice Job? So did you replace the 6x9 with the 6.5"? and if so did you add an amp? thinkin' of replacing my speakers and adding a 4 channel? The stock Pioneer dbl din has a horrible amp and the sound to the speakers are uneven.

I replaced the 6.9 speakers with the 6.5 speaker which was part of the infinity component set. I have a 4 channel Pioneer amp for the speakers and a Polk amp for my sub.
