Can't for the life of me figure out how to switch Miles to Kilometers in my 2014 tC.

Does anybody know how? Thanks in advance.

 

You can't unless you get an upgrade from a 'european dealer' for the navigation system. Ask these guys -- http://www.toyota-europe.com/
And then if you resell your car stateside, you'll need it switched back.

 

I'm in ontario. We use the metric system here.

 

Great, so ask the Canadian dealer to 'upgrade' you to kilometers. It is hardcoded into the software so it requires a patch or re-install to change it to kilometers.

 

Fix:

-Setup
-Down Arrow
-Change unit's of measurement

The weird thing is, It does not look like there is more options to scroll down towards.

The other weird thing. A few times while trying this I had to wait for the down arrow to become available to press. I found I could open setup and not be able to scroll down.

Anyways it's fixed. Basically open setup menu and be very patient.

 

Wow! Great news - you know more than two Scion dealerships, and the Toyota support website. You get your choices of miles or kilometers. So that's good.

 

Toyota Mechanic figured it out in about 30 seconds. Three salesmen couldn't figure it out previously.
