Default Paint vs Dash Kit

So I want to make some of the interior white (the stuff surrounding the head unit, in between the glove box and dash, etc.) I also need it to have a solid, glossy finish. No fake CF. Ideally I'd like a 3d dash kit, but I can't seem to find one of those in white. I don't know if there is a way to recreate that sort of piano black finish (again, in white) by painting. Am I incorrect? Are there any other solutions here that I'm not thinking of?

I painted mine and put a few thicker clear-coats on it afterwards and it turned out pretty glossy. It wasn't white... but I am sure it will be pretty close to the shine that you want... if you end up being unable to find a dash kit.

^ That actually looks pretty good and it matches the car. I think white suits the interior the best compared to what others have done.

jtk2 you did a pretty good job taping it up...leave it on!! haha

Painting really isn't that hard. I did mine a little while ago and it just takes time.

but yea i thought of a white int...but i like how its nice and dark inside...the white would change that. so i decided to go against the idea of painting it white

yea! lol. i only wanted to do the interior white because my interior lights i was going to do uv purple (blacklight) and that would have looked really good with the white. but i decided to go green lol. and now the white interior paint is not on my top priority list.

Here you go, checkout their site http://www.carid.com/. I've done numerous cars and have gotten the dash kits from them. Good stuff, it's not vinyl decals like Customtc's are these are actual kits.

Thanks man
I would do this stuff all day every day if I could! ;p

Although, it really isn't that hard. As long as you can afford a few hours, few cans of color, and a few cans of paint... you got a custom interior.
Unless of course, you go with gold... then you have a copycat custom interior! haha. jkjk. Go with it... it is sexy!

Here is a few pics of the customtC vinyl kit. I just finished when I took these, so its dark, but I will get some day time pics up tomorrow.

Hard to tell on this next one, but the kit has a piece that runs on the glove box, and the little lip above the GB too. Camera flash drowned it out:

My arms where shaky at this point....lol, lots of work done today!

This one is just to show off what else I did today ; )
