Lightbulb PlastiDipping Interior Panels

Sorry if I disappointed you, because no I haven't done it yet.

But what are y'all's thoughts on PlastiDipping the interior dash panels? I've been planning to do this for a while. I want to dip them yellow (I have an RS7) and add some glossifier on top to get rid of the rough texture.

I want PlastiDip because if I don't like it or mess up, I know I can just peel it right off without worrying about it and it's just overall easier than paint.

Anyone had any good/bad experiences doing this?

Thanks

When it dries isn't it like a rough sort of texture. That will be a B* to clean. I think I did pretty well PlastiDipping my emblems and when I wipe them just with a microfiber cloth it picks up lint off of it lol.
Think about cleaning all your dash panels.

...While I typed this, I finished reading and you said you would gloss over it lol, I should have read the whole thing.
Well then why not just use Yellow Paint? I'll tell you why, because with PlastiDip you barely have to prep the surface.
Maybe your on to something kid. I hope someone posts some ideas.

There may be a chance that the plastidip will bubble and peel when it gets too hot inside. Not certain though.

PlastiDip is actually heat resistant to like 300 degrees or something crazy like that, I wouldn't worry about it.

Exactly, it's just overall easier than paint and removable.

sounds maybe like a good idea....o by the way your not suppose to use a micro fiber cloth to wipe plasti dip =) a wet rag should do the trick ;-)

^How does it look? I was thinking of doing the same but I'm not sure how well it would stick to bumps around the radio and ish. Or how to get around all those curved edges.

The only problem I had was the radio part, especially that circle part of the hazard button...but the rest are good. I even put some in the steering wheel without removing it. Just make sure you use a heat gun or hair dryer so it will stick well. I'll post a picture when I get home

I'm pretty sure that's NOT PlastiDip. That's HydroDip or just carbon fiber vinyl wrap.

Yea. It's a vinyl. That's why I said I wrapped it with carbon fiber. Lol. I wish it was a hydrodip though, but I dont know how to do that.

Oh and I was talking to MKEPLE too, my bad.
