Default Rear rattle in 2012 scion tc

So in my Scion, i have had my fair share of rattles. It seems like when i hit any sort of bump, there is a loud rattle coming from the back. I have looked under the spare and taken out all the plastic underneath. I can not figure it out. Does anyone have this problem with the rear hatchback rattle? Please help....

Calling it, had same issue. When you open trunk, look at the hook / latch that hooks down from hatch to trunk. My rubber coating that coated the hook/ bracket deteriorated, dealership gave me a new one. 80k miles later I have not had an issue.

cant explain it. It's the latch mechanism literally, open trunk, look down. You see the receiver, see if the rubber coating is eaten worm off the metal.

I found my issue. after hours and countless people looking, it is the head shield directly under the trunk. its a 2x1 piece of metal that absorbs the heat. that seemed to do the trick 100% for me.
