So I called the customer service number with Scion complaining about the Bespoke. I assumed it would fall on deaf ears but I figured what the hell. Initially they reviewed my problem, called back and said that with the iPhone iOS 6 update it made the two no longer compatible and to wait for an update with Bespoke. I wasn't satisfied with that because the update was in Nov and here we were June (when I first started with the rep) no thought of an update and the 7 is on its way out. So I proceeded to chew the guy out. About how that's not right that they falsely advertise this and it's the biggest selling point they have yet it doesn't work. At all.

A week later the guy calls me and says he's been doing some thinking and would like to try a few different scenarios to make absolutely sure it's the radio and not my phone. (He slept on the ___ chewin' I have him)

We tried EVERYTHING. And today he called me and asked "what would you like to see happen?" I told him "I honestly just want it to work, it's my first brand new car and even though I love the radio because it looks nice and modern, I just want it to work."


He told me because we have tried everything and it was advertised and sold to you as being compatible with your phone what we can do at this point is reimburse you the list $845 for it.

I then told him how after taxes I end up paying $920 for it. He took that into consideration and made it right.


Only catch (which isn't a problem at all) is that it's only credit towards parts, accessories and service.

Once I get home and off my phone I'll post a picture of the email confirmation he sent if anyone is skeptic.

Well that sure is better than nothing. They made a great decision to ditch bespoke in the new cars, there is no way they are going to constantly update firmware to work with new iPhone software.
Basically your getting a gift card, but you can still buy good TRD stuff with it. And you can sell your current BeSpoke and make a few hundred off it, and get a nice Pioneer or something with a nice big touch screen.
