Steering wheel leather replacement
I have a 2013 Scion tC and have recently moved to Florida. The heat is far more extreme down here from where I came from and mistakenly I had underestimated the damage that can be caused by the heat.
The leather on the top of my steering wheel has begun to crack and crumble making it sticky and rough to the touch. This annoys me as I have kept everything in great condition over the years but don’t want to put on a cheap steering wheel cover from Auto-Zone.
I have researched many providers but it seems no one specializes in leather replacement for the 2013 Scion tC steering wheel. I would love to find a micro fiber cover or leather cover that I can stitch on over the stock leather.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS? Has anyone performed a steering wheel leather replacement on the D shape steering wheel with thumb rests?

New wheel, junkyard wheel in good condition or an upholstery shop that does leather restoration.
or
A steering wheel cover. Modern covers are easier to work with. They have eyelets and heavy thread to stretch the cover over the wheel.

I know I've seen a few guys with nice wraps but I don't recall where they got them. Check with RedlineGoods for a wrap solution, they make super nice everything and if they don't make one currently sometimes you can get one for free (but you have to send them your wheel).
Like Fender said you might be able to source one from a junkyard or eBay that's in good shape without breaking the bank. Wraps are usually $100+

I understand that your post about the steering wheel leather replacement is from three years ago, but it's great that you're still looking for solutions. Heat can be tough on leather, especially in places like Florida.
