winter floor mat choices?
hi,
i'm looking for rubber winter floor mats and found some at the scion dealer. PU320-21110-00 4pcs and the PT206-21114-14 cargo mat. question is, anyone have these and would you recommend them. there is also weathertech mats but pricey, i'm sure the quality is good. any other recommendation or would i be good with the above mentioned scion's?
thx,

The Scion mats are rather small for the space that they should cover.
On the drivers side the rubber doesn't go all the way up under the pedals. This is most likely due to the whole mat fiasco that Toyota had with gear pedals getting stuck under the mats, so they made them this way on purpose.
But this is a bad design because when you enter the car all that liquid under your boots misses the rubber mats and goes to the carpet below and that is very hard to clean if left to dry for sometime...
I am tempted to get the weather tech mats, but I'll most likely end up getting a $20 mat from Canadian Tire.
Oh and the Scion rubber mats are fine for the front passenger and rear seats. It's only the driver rubber mats that I have an issue with.

I just received my Weathertech floor liners for the tC on Saturday. I've had a set for my Nissan Frontier Crew Cab for almost 2 years now. They've held up very well. We take the truck camping, snowboarding, mudding and the mats have kept the carpet showroom clean. Plus if/when I go to sell the truck, I have the stock floor mats in perfect condition.
I bought the Weathertech front and rear liners in black for the tC. Almost $200 with shipping (YIKES!). However, they are absoluetly worth the money....especially the rear mats (I have a 5 year old son who makes quite a mess).
Bottom line, if you have the means, I'd say go with the Weathertechs.
